Gherla CityApp app for iPhone and iPad

EN. Gherla CityApp is a tourist application administered by the Cityhall of Gherla that is dedicated to the Gherla city area, Cluj county, in Romania.

It is aimed at both tourists and locals with various interests that are offered detailed information on most attractive POIs and events in the area, as well as on existing local services (accommodation, restaurants, bars, tourist info points and offices) or local news (city hall press reports).

The content is updated real-time and is continuously subject to improving in order to provide accurate and relevant info.

The current version of the Gherla CityApp contains the following themes:
- Accommodation: places in Gherla city that offer accommodation to tourists;
- Culture & Leisure: places in and around Gherla that offer cultural and leisure activities;
- Events Calendar: events that take place in Gherla city;
- Food & Drink: places in Gherla that serve food and drinks;
- Press Report: news that can be found on the City Hall website;
- Sightseeing: places that are worth visiting in and around Gherla ;
- Tourist Info: official tourist info points and offices where a tourist can get information on what to see and to do in and around the city of Gherla ;
- Other themes (f. ex. shopping, citizen services) can be added to the app by the Cityhall once they have relevant content; the app will update itself when new themes are added.

All POIs contain relevant information (photos, text, address, telephone and cell phone number with the possibility to call using the call function of the device, email address with the possibility to send a message using the email function of the device, website, opening hours, location of the POIs shown on Google maps, routing options)

Alphabetical and by distance sorting options are implemented. Also, various filtering options are available, according to the type of POIs.

Language switch is available (Romanian, English, German) directly from the application.


RO. Gherla CityApp este o aplicatie turistica administrata de primaria Gherla, menita sa promoveze zona orasului Gherla, judetul Cluj, Romania.

Aplicatia este destinata atat turistilor, cat si localnicilor carora le sunt oferite informatii referitoare la cele mai atractive puncte de interes si evenimente din zona, la servicii (cazare, restaurante, baruri, puncte si birouri de informatii turistice) sau stiri locale (comunicate de presa ale primariei).

Versiunea actuala de Gherla CityApp contine urmatoarele teme:
- Cazare: unitatile de cazare din Gherla;
- Cultura si Timp liber: locatiile din zona Gherlacare ofera activitati culturale si de relaxare;
- Restaurante si Baruri: locatii in Gherlaunde se poate servi masa;
- Comunicate de Presa: noutati oferite de pagina de web a primariei;
- Obiective Turistice: punctele de interes ce merita vizitate;
- Turism: birourile si punctele de informatii turistice de unde turistii pot obtine informatii despre ce se poate face si vizita in zona Gherla;
- Alte teme (ca de exemplu, Cumparaturii si Servicii Publice) vor fi adaugate de Primaria Gherla atunci cand vor exista informatii relevante pentru aceste teme.

Toate punctele de interes contin detalii precum: imagini, text, adresa, telefon/telefon mobil cu posibilitatea de apelare directa, adresa de email cu posibilitatea de a trimite mesaj folosind functia email a telefonului, website, orar, locatie pe Google maps si optiuni de navigatie.

Toate elementele pot fi sortate alfabetic sau dupa distanta. De asemenea, se pot folosi optiuni de filtrare, in functie de tipul de punct de interes.

Aplicatia se poate folosi in 3 limbi (Romana, Engleza, Germana) care pot fi schimbate din menu-ul aplicatiei.
